Origins and Success
Guns N’ Roses was founded by singer Axl Rose and guitarist Izzy Stradlin, soon joined by legendary guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The band quickly rose to fame with the release of their debut album, Appetite for Destruction (1987), which became one of the best-selling albums of all time, featuring iconic songs such as “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, “Welcome to the Jungle”, and “Paradise City”.
