Einstürzende Neubauten is a German industrial and experimental music band, founded in 1980 in West Berlin. Their name means “Collapsing New Buildings,” a reference to the architectural decay of the city at that time.
The band is known for its radical approach to music, using unconventional instruments such as metal sheets, drills, jackhammers, and various found objects to create unique and noise-driven sounds. Their music oscillates between post-punk, experimental, and industrial atmospheres, often characterized by a cold and mechanical feel.
